What to take when your pregnant or breastfeeding and have a cold?

When you are pregnant or breastfeeding you can sometimes come down with a cold. You feel horrible but don't know what to take because you can't take many drugs over the counter because they can harm your baby. So the best way combat is to do it naturally.
Vitamin C is one way you can conbat it. You take at least 1000mg with a glass of water and this would help your immune system build up. You can buy this anywhere at Wal-Mart or Walgreens or any pharmacy.
Another is don't forget to take your prenatals. This multivitamin helps your baby and you become the best they can with all the stresses. You can take them with the vitamin C.
Don't forget to eat well. Eat your fruits and vegtables and drink plenty of water aim for at least 8 glasses of water.
These are some ways to combat the flu.
